India Visa Services

An Indian visa is a stamp or endorsement placed by Indian officials on a passport, permitting the bearer to visit India. India’s embassy or consulate issues these visas for specific purposes.

India requires all visitors to have a visa, but it participates in an electronic visa program for some purposes. You can get an electronic visa if you are traveling to India as a tourist, for a conference, for medical treatment, or for business.

At Sharplink, we assist with India visa services. Passport processing times vary based on the Indian embassy or consulate handling the visa approval. The visa services company does not control these processing times, which can change at the government’s discretion.

For a traditional tourist visa to India, you need to download, fill out, print, and sign one copy of the India visa application form.

    Valid Passport

Provide your SIGNED passport. It must be signed on the appropriate line (for US citizens, this line is on the page following your information page). The passport must be valid and have an expiration date of at least six (6) months beyond the date of entry for the visa you are applying for. The passport must also have at least two blank pages labeled VISAS at the top.

    Passport-type Photograph

You must provide a passport photo meeting the standard US passport photo requirements. It should be taken at an official passport photo provider (pharmacy, Costco, post office). You can upload a digital photo for us to process.

    Driver’s License

Provide a copy of your driver’s license or state-issued ID or an original major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electricity, Sewage) from the most recent month showing your name and current address. The address must not contain a PO Box and must match the home address in your applicant profile.

    Proof of Residency

Provide a copy of your driver’s license or state-issued ID or an original major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electricity, Sewage) from the most recent month showing your name and current address. The address must not contain a PO Box and must match the home address in your applicant profile.

    Electronic Visa Program

India’s electronic visa program is a faster way to get your visa for travel to India for the purposes where it is allowed. The processing time is only 3 to 5 business days, and the processing fee is about one-half to one-third of the fee for a traditional visa.

    Requirements for Special Visas

Depending on the type of visa you are seeking, you may be required to provide additional documents. Our visa services company can help you understand those regulations. For example, someone seeking medical treatment needs to provide a copy of a letter from an Indian hospital. Someone visiting for a conference needs to show a conference invitation, conference clearance, and a business support letter.

If you are coming to India at someone else’s invitation for non-tourism purposes, they may need to provide you with documentation. You can coordinate with them to get the necessary paperwork to support your visa application.
